Over A Quarter Of Eligible Long Branch Residents Are Vaccinated
According to data from the state, over half of adults in Long Branch have received one out of the two COVID-19 vaccination shots.

LONG BRANCH – Less than 75 percent of Long Branch residents eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine are fully vaccinated, according to data released by the state on Monday.
The New Jersey Department of Health released town-level data on COVID-19 vaccinations Monday, and the state's COVID-19 dashboard has a breakdown by percentage of every person who has been partially or fully vaccinated in every municipality.

- Long Branch population with at least one dose: 43 percent of all ages, 54 percent of adults (18 and older), and 87 percent of seniors (65 and older).
- Long Branch population fully vaccinated: 28 percent of all ages, 35 percent of adults, and 73 percent of seniors.
A goal to fully vaccinate 70 percent of all adults, about 4.7 million people, in the state by the end of June was set by state officials. As of Monday afternoon, about 3.6 million people in New Jersey have been fully vaccinated. All people 16 and older in New Jersey are eligible for vaccination, but sixteen- and 17-year-olds can only get the Pfizer two-dose vaccine.
