Little Silver police suspect last weekend's car thefts are part of a ring that targets luxury vehicles.

After a luxury car was stolen and 25 unlocked vehicles were broken into in Little Silver, police are warning residents the thefts could be part of an organized ring. The stolen vehicle was left unlocked with the key fob inside, police said.

The car was a Range Rover, according to the Asbury Park Press.

Police believe the thefts, which occurred Friday night into early Saturday, are part of an organized ring that targets luxury vehicles, the Asbury Park Press reports.

"Actors have been more organized recently, using a get-away driver, often in a stolen vehicle, and working in groups of two or three individuals to walk down streets and check if cars are unlocked," the Little Silver Police Department wrote on Facebook.

The other thefts, which took place in the Winding Way development off Seven Bridges Road, only included a credit card and spare change, the Asbury Park Press reports.
