Residents May Hear Explosions This Week From Naval Weapons Station Earle

Residents of the Long Branch-Eatontown area may hear explosions this week as the Transportation Security Administration conducts testing at Naval Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck.

The Tinton Falls Office of Emergency Management Facebook page states that "Explosives and Explosives Effects" training will be held throughout the week at the base.

The testing will likely occur throughout the afternoon but weather conditions could push the testing to earlier hours.

Traditionally, residents from as far away as Long Branch can hear the sound of the explosions.
