Stop & Shop Pharmacists Provide Vaccines at Fulfill Food Distro
Stop & Shop Pharmacists Provide Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine to At-Risk Jersey Shore Residents at Fulfill's Weekly Food Distribution

Stop & Shop pharmacists joined Fulfill’s weekly drive-up food distribution in Neptune, providing the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to those facing food insecurity. The Stop & Shop pharmacists offered the vaccine to Fulfill clients as they drove up to receive their weekly groceries.
“Struggling families come to Fulfill for assistance with food as they work hard to get back on their feet. Offering COVID-19 vaccinations to the people we serve is just another way we can help them stay healthy. When a family member contracts coronavirus, they can't work. For those living paycheck to paycheck, that's often the difference between affording groceries for their families and not. We are grateful for the partnership with Stop & Shop that helps prevent that from happening," said Fulfill Board Chair Lauren Holman.
“It is essential that as many New Jersey residents as possible receive the vaccine for COVID-19,” said James Dinicola, New Jersey Pharmacy Operations Manager at Stop & Shop. “We are proud to partner with Fulfill to provide so many residents with the vaccine that otherwise they might not have received it. Efforts like this not only help those being vaccinated, but also strengthen an entire community’s ability to help end the pandemic.”

According to state officials, more than 3.4 million people have been fully vaccinated in New Jersey, which is 48% of the state’s adult population. Another 160,084 New Jersey residents have been vaccinated out of state. The state’s goal is to have 70% of the state’s eligible population, about 4.7 million people vaccinated by the end of June. Nationally, more than 110 million Americans, just 33% of the population have been fully vaccinated.
New Jersey health officials say of those vaccinated only 8% are African American and just 13% are Hispanic making Stop & Shop’s partnership with Fulfill vital in the effort to end the pandemic in New Jersey.
