Tinton Falls will have a new mayor in 2014 as Gerald Turning ran unopposed in Tuesday's election.
Turning garnered 3,210 votes and will replace Mayor Michael Skudera, who announced he was not seeking re-election earlier this year.
There was also an uncontested race for two spots on the Tinton Falls Council.
Incumbent Scott Larkin received 3,048 votes and his running mate, John Roche, got 2,821 votes.
The council voted in 2010 to shift its non-partisan elections from May to the November general election.
