Power Outages Linger In Long Valley After Storm: JCP&L

LONG VALLEY, NJ — With the severe weather that ripped through New Jersey on Tuesday, there are approximately 261 residents in Long Valley and Washington Township still without power.

On Wednesday morning at about 9:20 a.m., 33,951 Jersey Central Power & Light customers were without power in New Jersey, with 8,374 still out in Morris County.

Washington Township Mayor Matt Murello reported about his phone call with JCP&L Wednesday morning shortly after 8:30 a.m., “Crews have been on site evaluating and making repairs since last night.”

While Murello said most residents should expect to have their power restored by Wednesday afternoon, there are others who may not have power again until late Wednesday night.

Streets that Murello said he was told may expect to be restored late Wednesday are:
Camp Washington Road
Naughtright Road
Morris Canal Trail
Port Colden Road
Spring Lane
Turtleback Road

The township, he said, will be using the RAVE system to provide updates throughout Wednesday.
