300 Pound Boulder Batters Car In Long Valley
No one was hurt in the incident, according to officials.
LONG VALLEY, NJ - Driving was a game of inches last week in Long Valley when 300 pounds of rock tumbled off of a rock face along Schooley's Mountain Road and smashed into a car, according to the Long Valley First Aid Squad.
EMS and Rescue Services members responded with EMS 2, EMS 3, Rescue 1, Rescue 2 and Command, officials said. EMS assessed four patients while Rescue Services members practiced some heavy lifting and moving techniques- utilizing pinch bars and shovels to move the boulder across the road to a safe location, officials said.
Schooleys Mountain Fire and Long Valley Fire also responded and the Washington Township Police Department secured the scene.

"Fortunately, none of the occupants of the vehicle were injured and refused transportation to the hospital." officials posted to social media.
