4K Without Power In Long Valley, Chester, Mendham

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Over 4,000 homes are without power in Long Valley and Chester Wednesday afternoon, JCP&L.

It's not clear what caused the widespread outage. A crew has been dispatched, and power should be back on by 6:30 p.m., JCP&L says. Chester Township is the most heavily affected with nearly half of all homes in the dark.

Here's how many homes are without power in each municipality:

• Chester Borough 234
• Chester Township 1,495
• Mendham Borough 140
• Mendham Township 264
