Boy Scout Troop 236 Assist with Food Pantry Fund Raiser

On Saturday, November 24, a total of thirty-six Boy Scouts and family members associated with Long Valley Boy Scout Troop 236 participated in the annual Washington Township "Sponsor a Wreath" program. The program is the sole fundraiser for the Washington Township food pantry with all proceeds going to help township residences who are in need throughout the year. The Troop members volunteered to hang wreaths on the fences and collect trash along Long Valley’s East Mill Road and Bartley Road in support of this program. This was the Troop's 17th consecutive year of "Sponsor a Wreath" volunteer support. Also assisting with this effort were Ort’s Farm, “Kids for Kindness” and members of the West Morris Central High School “Highlanders for Humanity”.
