Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you're in, and how did you get started?
Masi: I saw Card My Yard on Facebook because a friend used the service in another state. There was nothing like it here in New Jersey and I thought it was just the coolest idea. The signs were huge, colorful and so fun! I opened my first location in Hillsborough, New Jersey, in November 2019.
Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?
Masi: Joy, connection, appreciation, gratitude and memories. My mission is to spread as much joy as possible, to keep people connected and to leave amazing memories for people.
Patch: What's the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you've faced in your job?
Masi: The biggest challenge for me is being able to service as much of the state as possible.
Patch: What's the most satisfying part of your job?
Masi: I have seen and heard the reactions of these amazing signs and I want to be able to give that feeling to as many people as I can. The most satisfying part of my job are the "morning texts," as I like to call them, which are the texts I receive from customers saying that it set their day off to the perfect start, that they are so thankful they could send such an amazing surprise to someone they are unable to see, whether it be social distancing or because they live far away.
Patch: How would you say your business distinguishes itself from the others?
Masi: Our company really is the next level of yard greeting. Our first priority is customer service, always. We want you to order the product, receive your confirmations and be confident that this is going to be an amazing experience, because it really is an experience. Our fonts are big and bright, our graphics are one of a kind and really stand out, we listen to our customer to personalize the sign as best we can with sports, hobbies, interests, colors, etc.
We want to become a tradition for your friends and family. Gifts that friends send each other — because, what do you get the person who has everything?

Patch: What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given when it comes to success?
Masi: My favorite piece of advice I received about this business is that this is more than a sign on the lawn. This is a feeling you are able to give someone — and that is what I want to continue doing with this business.
Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you're working on that you're extra excited about?
Masi: We just added super signs, which is super exciting! They are real show stoppers!
Patch: Do you have any events coming up in your community?
Masi: We enjoy being able to give back to our community, so we are always looking for those opportunities. We also enjoy fundraisers so we can give back.
Patch: How can Patch readers learn more about your work and business?
Masi: You can find us on Facebook, Instagram and our website www.cardmyyard.com
