Downed Tree Blocks Flocktown, Schooley's Mtn. Intersection

Long Valley, N.J. - A downed tree has blocked one of the town's largest intersections after a nasty thunderstorm rolled through the area.

A downed tree has blocked the intersection of Flocktown and Schooley's Mountain roads as of 3:30 p.m., according to town officials. There is no current timetable of when the mess will be cleared or when the roads will be reopened.

As of 3:42 p.m., Jersey Central Power & Light was reporting 242 residences in Washington Township were without power. The estimated time of restoration is 6 p.m.
