Ex-Church Youth Group Leader From Long Valley Admits Sex Assault on Teen

Christopher J. Remaly pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a then 15-year-old girl in 2014, the Daily Record reported.

LONG VALLEY, N.J.– A Long Valley man on Wednesday pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl at his home in 2014, according to reports.

Christopher J. Ramaly told the court he knew the girl was 15 when he was 27 and met her through the Easton, Pa. area church where he was a youth leader, the Daily Record reported.

He said they had a sexual encounter as his home between Jan. 17, 2014 and Jan. 31, 2014, the newspaper reported.

Ramaly, now 30, was arrested in February 2014 and charged with aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the newspaper.

Morris County Assistant Prosecutor Robert Preziosi recommended a 7-year sentence, the report said.
