Free Tree Saplings For Poster Contest At Library In Long Valley

Entries for the poster contest need to be at the library on June 9. The first 40 entries will get a free tree sapling on Friday, June 11.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Trees are necessary for the planet, beyond their aesthetic appeal, with the Garden Club of Long Valley encouraging artists of all ages and experience levels to tell them through original artwork poster submissions, why trees are so significant.

It’s all part of a poster contest themed “Trees Are Important,” to mark National Garden Week, taking place in communities around the country through June 12.

Poster submissions are due back to the Washington Township Public Library on 37 E. Springtown Rd. on Wednesday.
