The Green Living Festival Returns To Washington Township This Fall
Fireworks, food, and sustainability will be promoted at the annual Green Living Festival this September.

As part of the Sustainable Jersey initiative that includes 437 communities across the state, Washington Township will be holding its annual Green Living Festival on Saturday, September 10--as long as the rain doesn't put a damper on the day's events. For the first time in over five years, festival organizers are uniting with the Long Valley Fire Department to bring added entertainment in the form of fireworks and food trucks.
The festival, which will include exhibits, vendors, and educational programs, is a way for the community to highlight local sustainability.
"The idea is to promote local sustainability so you're not traveling far away," says Teri Lyons, a member of the Washington Township Green Team.
