'Joker' Movie Casting Extras In NJ
Ever wanted your 15 minutes of fame? You could appear as an extra in the new "Joker" movie starring Joaquin Phoenix.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — New Jersey, your 15 minutes of fame are finally here: The new "Joker" movie is filming in two NJ cities, and they're looking for local extras to take part, according to media reports.
To apply, email romeo@gwcnyc.com with the subject line "NJ Local Flyer." Potential extras should include their full name, phone number, age confirmation, height and weight, clothing and shoe size, availability, and a current photo, NJ.com reported.
If selected, extras will be paid $143 for a ten hour day. Be prepared to fill out an I9 form on set.

The Joker is filming in Jersey City on Sept. 30 and Nov. 9, and in Newark on Oct. 16 and 16, News12 NJ said, 105.7 The Hawk said.

Joaquin Phoenix is the latest actor to be cast as The Joker, following Jared Leto and Heath Ledger's recent turns as the comic book villain. The film is expected to come out sometime in 2019, and will center around the Joker's origin story in 1980's Gotham City.
