Koestenblatt, Mucerino, Wilson Win Washington Township BOE Race
After a pandemic-extended election style, the results are finally in.
LONG VALLEY, NJ - The polls are closed, the tallies are over and now the contested race for Washington Township Board of Education has been decided after a pandemic extended election cycle.
According to the final tallies, certified by the Morris County Clerk the totals were:
- Kiranmayi Tadi: 3,332
- Stephanie Wilson: 3,370
- Bryan Nesfeder: 2,615
- Jason Koestenblatt: 4,204
- Jill A. Mucerino: 3,884
- Laura Ann Quinones: 2,840
- Armand Czapkowski: 693
- Joseph S. Coladarci Third: 2,704

Since the change to this year's election was announced by Gov. Phil Murphy because of the coronavirus, there were been many questions about how the process worked. The primarily vote-by-mail process, in tandem with the extended deadlines to receive votes pushed the certification day to "on or about Nov. 20."
