"The Long Shadow" Film Screening and Q&A with the Director

Sponsored by Washington Twp. Library and other MAIN libraries, this PBS documentary examines the history of anti-black racism in the U.S.

LONG VALLEY - Washington Township Public Library has partnered with other Morris Automated Information Network (MAIN) libraries to offer a virtual screening of the PBS documentary The Long Shadow, followed by a discussion and Q&A with the director.

The Long Shadow follows former CNN Senior Producer, TED contributor, and Emmy-Award winning director Frances Causey as she traces her family’s legacy of white privilege, placing it in the context of the history of anti-black racism in the United States that began with slavery and continues to impact our society today.

Library patrons can watch the film anytime between Friday, June 4th and Friday, June 11th and then join the live Q&A on Wednesday, June 9th, 7-8PM with director Frances Causey. Registration is required. You can sign up here.
