LONG VALLEY, NJ - A school bus accident caused the closure of East Valley Brook Road and intentional power outages on Friday morning, according to officials.

Washington Township Police said a full size township bus swerved off the roadway due to another vehicle, striking a stone wall and telephone pole, causing the wires to fall on top of the bus.

Washington Township Mayor Matt Murello posted to social media that there were no injuries in the crash and the students were at school. Officials at JCP&L said that power restoration efforts were underway and were expected to be completed by the end of the day.
