Longtime Long Valley Resident Passes At 91

LONG VALLEY, NJ - Joan Polvino, 91, of Long Valley passed away peacefully on March 24 at Fox Trail Memory Care Living at Chester, according to her obituary.

Joan was born on August 22, 1928 in New York, NY to the late Elizabeth Williams. She grew up in New York City and lived most of her life in Long Valley, before moving to Chester two years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Luke RC Parish in Long Valley. Joan enjoyed playing tennis, caring for horses, and gardening. Her passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three devoted children Gail Mohr, Bill Polvino and his wife Melanie, and Elaine Decanio; and her cherished 9 grandchildren, Michael, Lindsey and Kristen Mohr, Ryder and Logan Decanio, and Nick, Dan, Matthew, and Jake Polvino; and by many other loving family members and friends.

In accord with the recently issued State and Archdiocese guidelines, a private funeral will be conducted. A Catholic Committal prayer service and private interment will take place at Our Lady of the Mountain RC Cemetery in Long Valley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Luke RC Parish, 265 W.
