Longtime Long Valley Resident Passes Away

Carol Barbara Landis, age 80, Gladstone, NJ, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 27, 2018. She died peacefully in her sleep after several strokes and other maladies. She was the devoted wife of Bruce Burton Landis, who predeceased her in 2007, for fifty years. A longtime resident of Long Valley, NJ, she was a member of Valley View Chapel, also in Long Valley.

Surviving the beloved are her brother Herbert and his wife Margaret, her children, Daniel and his wife Rose, William and his wife Claudia, and Robert, as well her grandchildren, Robert Christopher and his wife Lisa, Mia and her husband Caleb, Alicia, Timothy, Stephanie, and Matthew, her great-grandchildren, Josie and Samuel, and her nephews, their wives and children. All will very deeply miss this dear, gentle soul.

A Celebration of Carol’s Life will include a visitation on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 2 to 5pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A 10:30am funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at German Valley Rural Cemetery.
