A Love Letter To Steve Barratt
A Long Valley resident is sending love to her husband, her family and her friends this Valentine's Day.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Carol Barratt’s love letter to her husband, Steve:
I write to you today as I think of this year’s Valentine's Day! It is a special one as we celebrate our 40th Valentine's Day. I was a very young bride then and now I am now I'm older, becoming a grandma of twins two months ago. We were blessed with a granddaughter and grandson! Our love for our family is so deep. I still think of my husband as my best friend and thank him for all the hard work he has done to make my life so great. We look at our years together and we have come a long way!
We moved to New Jersey after living in Maine. I was totally thinking New Jersey was not for us! But we have lived in Long Valley for 25 years now, have raised our kids here and now the next generation of Barratts will be growing up in the area!

What the next chapter of our lives holds is unknown, but I know it will be great! It's comforting to have such a loving husband and family. On this Valentine's Day I send my husband, Steve, my family and my friends a big kiss of thanks for all my good fortune! Happy 40th to you, Steve! Lots of love today!
Love, Carol
