Men’s Palm Sunday Breakfast

Community invited to join

The Stanhope United Methodist church, Men’s Group will be hosting a Palm Sunday Breakfast, on April 14th, at 7AM. The breakfast is free, however, a free-will offering will be accepted for those who wish to donate. The breakfast will be held on the ground floor in the church fellowship hall. Off street parking is available and the church building is wheelchair accessible.

The community is invited regardless of church or religious affiliations.
“This is a great event for men of all ages, and also for various groups, from scouting troops to senior citizen men’s organizations,” said Lori Price, Communications Chair of the Stanhope United Methodist Church.
The breakfast is a thirty year tradition, and includes an inspiring message from a group member. The menu consists of coffee, tea, juices, ham and eggs and a variety of muffins. Guests may choose to attend the 10:30AM Palm Sunday worship service following the breakfast. In addition to the traditional worship service, a live donkey will be outside the church to assist in handing out the palm fronds, and will stay for photo ops and for all to visit.
“This breakfast is a wonderful way to start Holy week,” said Scott LeFurge, breakfast coordinator and Men’s Group leader. “We begin with good food and fellowship followed by a spirit filled worship service.”
For additional info call the church office at 973-347-0247. The Stanhope United Methodist church is located at #2 Route 183, Netcong.
