MOUNT ARLINGTON, NJ — A Mount Arlington pre-school teacher has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a toddler, Morris County Prosecutor Fredrick M. Knapp said.

Thomas H. Meier, 35, was arrested this weekend after a coworker allegedly saw him sexually assaulting a 3-year-old on Oct. 8, Knapp said. The coworker reported the assault to staff and law enforcement "thereafter," Knapp said.

Meier is a pre-school teacher at Head Start of Morris County, Knapp said.

He was charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, and has been lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending an upcoming hearing.
