LONG VALLEY, NJ — Naughtright Road will remain closed for "a few weeks" as an emergency bridge replacement is completed, county officials said.

The bridge was first closed on Wednesday, July 3, when a township contractor discovered safety issues with the bridge. The road is closed between Bartley Road and Fairview Ave, and a detour is in place.

Work began on Saturday to replace the deck and pave the base of the bridge. After that, the township will complete surface paving of the roadway across the new bridge deck east to Bartley Road.
