Mount Olive Police are looking for a man who was driving a white van in the area of Route 46 and Woodsedge Avenue last Friday night.

Mount Olive Police are looking for a driver who threatened a woman he was tailgating with a gun in an apparent road rage incident last Friday night.

Police said the woman was traveling on Route 46 at about 6:40 p.m. last Friday when she became aware of a white van that was following her very closely. When the woman pulled up to a stoplight at Woodsedge Avenue, the white van pulled up next to her, police said.

The man driving the man, described by the victim as Hispanic with a shaved head, turned on the interior light to reveal a black handgun he was holding in her direction, police said.

When the light turned green, the man in the van continued onto Route 46 where the victim lost sight of the vehicle, police said.

Police said the victim described the man's vehicle as a white work van with square headlights, possibly displaying business markings from an unknown oil company on the front passenger door.

Anyone with information should call Detective Michael Zarro at 973-691-0900, Ext. 7100.
