Special delivery for the patients at Goryeb Children's Hospital!

The elves at Macaroni Kid West Morris have been busy this season, and on December 14th they made a very special delivery to Goryeb Children’s Hospital!

Since November, the online publication and weekly newsletter known for helping local families find fun, low-cost activities in the area, has been coordinating a toy collection to benefit the patients at Goryeb. There were several partner drop-off sites, including Racks Valley Boutique in Long Valley, Callarimi Buick GMC in Budd Lake, Pediatric Dental Associates of Randolph and Mama Bird Center in Chester.

To add to the success of the toy drive, on November 30th, Publisher Elisa Rispoli, her assistant Amanda Janke and their families, hosted a charity screening of The Polar Express inside local toy shop, Toys with Love. There was no cost to attend the event, rather each child brought a toy donation for the hospital. While they were engaged in the movie in the shop’s upstairs party room, parents could shop downstairs while enjoying holiday appetizers provided by DINE caterers of Long Valley, and a wine tasting from Wine Matters, also of Long Valley. The event was such a success, with a lengthy wait list, that the duo is already working on plans for the 2019 event.

During the delivery to the hospital, the generosity of the local community was put into perspective - the toys spread across the entire waiting area, it was truly a sight to behold and a wonderful way to spread holiday cheer and lift the spirits of the children and their families who remain at the hospital during the holidays.
