Spotted Lanternfly Information Session

Washington Twp. Library will offer a Zoom presentation on how to protect your trees and stop this invasive insect's spread, Monday at 7 PM.

LONG VALLEY - On Monday, December 28th at 7 p.m., Washington Township Public Library will offer a free Zoom presentation on the the Spotted Lanternfly. This virtual talk will include basic information about the Lanternfly, the negative impact this invasive insect has, the ways home owners can contribute to slowing its spread, and management tactics available to home owners at each of its life stages. There will also be plenty of time for questions. This talk will be led by Kasia Madalinska, a graduate student at Rutgers University whose work focuses on the Spotted Lanternfly.
