Tennis Summer Camp Sign-Ups Now For Kids In Long Valley

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Registration is happening now for Summer Tennis Camp in Washington Township, with a session during the week of July 12 for children between the ages of 5 and 9; and the session for kids ages 10 to 14 beginning the week of Aug. 2.

Camp through Washington Township Park Recreation is at the Rock Spring Park Tennis Courts on East Springtown Road and has limited spaces available for each session.

Camp for children in the 5 to 9 age group is scheduled for Monday, July 12 through Thursday, July 15, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a rain date on Friday, July 16.

For players in the 10 to 14 age group, camp begins on Monday, Aug. 2 through Thursday, Aug. 5, also each day from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a rain date on Friday, Aug. 6.

Players in both age groups will focus on footwork, rallying, stroke technique and court positioning.

The program is for beginner and intermediate players and each child needs to bring their own racquet to camp.
