Washington Twp. K9 Helps Catch Stabbing Suspect: Police

CHESTER, NJ - An attack on a man in bed led to a multiagency search for a suspect on Nov. 14, according to the Chester Police Department.
Officers responded to a residence on Ashland Terrace on the report of a man that was stabbed by a woman. Police determined the victim was asleep in bed and was roused by a woman standing over him armed with a knife.
The man suffered a laceration to his right hand during the altercation and the suspect then fled the scene, police said.

According to police, the woman was soon apprehended with the assistance of Washington Township Police Department Officers and K9 Cliff.

- Possession of Weapon for Unlawful Purpose
- Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
She was transported to Morris County Correctional Facility, after medical clearance, pending a court appearance, police said.
