Water Use Restricted In Long Valley

Outdoor water restrictions went into effect on May 15 and will remain through Sept. 15 for the Schooley's Mountain water service area.

LONG VALLEY, NJ - Residents in the Schooley’s Mountain water service area are now required to restrict their outdoor water usage through Sept. 15.

Water customers who are within Washington Township north of Springtown Road and including the Fawnridge tract and northern areas must restrict outdoor water use, with a ban on weekends for most uses, until the restriction is lifted.

According to the Washington Township Municipal Utilities Authority, customers are permitted to use water during the weekdays on odd or even days, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., depending on whether their house is an even or odd number.
