Woman Killed In Long Valley Crash Remembered As 'Coolest Mom'
Sharla Jones Davis, 51, leaves behind three children in their 20s, and a high schooler.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Sharla Jones Davis was a dedicated, "cool" mom who made her four children (three boys and a girl) the center of her life. Some days it was a struggle, but Davis never stopped working to support her children.
Following her sudden and tragic death last week, the Hackettstown community is picking up where she left off by coming together to support the young adult and school-aged children Davis, who lost her life in a two-car crash in Long Valley.
"Sharla Jones Davis was the coolest Mom. Her life was her children. She did everything for [her daughter] Rachel and her 3 brothers," a friend of Rachel's, Monika Amber, wrote in a GoFundMe. "Even though every day was a struggle trying to make ends meet, she fought through the tough times to make sure her family had what they needed."

"God takes some of the most Amazing and One of a kind people in this world. Sharla Jones Davis was the love of my Uncle Steve's love of his life. Now may they both Rest In Peace and dance with the Angels. May God be with our Family especially Gavin Beaton, and know we have the heavens watching over us. There is no replacement for our loss but their beauty, knowledge, and strength. We were blessed with their wonders," Ashley Sierra Beaton wrote on Facebook.
"Saddened to hear my childhood friend Sharla Jones Davis passed away suddenly in a car accident yesterday. Praying for the sweet family she leaves behind. Sharla, I know you and Melissa are hoop -n- hollering and singing Bee Gees in heaven!" Tricia Letbetter Matthews wrote.
Three of Davis' children, Rachel, Josh and Colin are in their 20s, Amber wrote, and her youngest, Gavin, is a sophomore in high school. In addition to her children, Davis is also survived by her fiance, Rich Klein, and his three children. To donate to the GoFundMe, click here.
