LONG VALLEY, NJ - A Mount Pocono, Pa., woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft over pair of incidents at a group home in Long Valley, according to the Washington Township Police Department.

Authorities said the investigation began on Nov. 9, 2020 and involved theft of money from two
victims who were residents of the group home. The thefts occurred between Jan. 16, 2020 and Oct. 16, 2020 and the total amount stolen from the two victims was $2,386.53, police said.

The woman allegedly would write fraudulent receipts for items purchased for the victims and then collect the money from the victims allotted funds, police said.

The woman was processed according to departmental procedures and a criminal complaint summons was issued charging her with Theft in the 3rd Degree and was given a virtual court date in Morris County Superior Court.
