‘Worked Tirelessly During The Pandemic’: Long Valley Hero

LONG VALLEY, NJ — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

• Relationship to nominee: Susan Spina is the Coordinator of Long Valley Community Assistance Program. She has been keeping it going strong during the pandemic.
• Reason for recognition: Susan Spina has worked tirelessly during the pandemic to be sure that the Long Valley food pantry continues to serve those in need. It didn’t skip a beat!
• One thing to know: LVCAP is a group of volunteers from nine area churches who manage the Long Valley food pantry and provide emergency financial assistance to those in crisis.
