Annual Mahwah Fishing Contest is Saturday

Prizes will be awarded to contestants ages 5 through 13 years old.

MAHWAH, NJ — The town's annual fishing contest is Saturday at 10 a.m. at Silver Creek Pond.

Silver Creek Pond is located at the intersection of Airmont Avenue and Airmont Road.

Anyone may participate, but proof of residency must be shown at registration.

Prizes will be awarded to contestants 5 to 13 years old, based on the size of the fish and the amount caught.

The event will be held regardless of weather.
