Bergen Filmmaker Crowdfunding 2nd Season Of Hit Web Series

Caytha Jentis' 'The Other F Word' is about a group of middle-aged women who are dealing with the challenges of midlife.

Caytha Jentis does not believe that life stops at 40 for women.

Jentis broke through that Hollywood stereotype with her hit web series "The Other F Word," which debuted last year on Amazon Video.

The comedy coming-of-age series is about four lifelong friends at midlife whose kids are grown and are looking for the next thing in their lives. The show has received positive reviews.

"Forty to 60, those years, which I think are as exciting and scary for women," Jentis, of Ridgewood, said in an interview recently. "Women are always pivoting and having life changes and I thought this one, because it's this huge call to action."

Jentis is looking to raise $10,000 to finance a second season of the show. The cast includes Steve Guttenberg and comedians Judy Gold and Ben Baily. Jentis has also written four films, including "Bad Parents" starring Janeane Garofalo.

The "F" in the title stands for a lot of things, Jentis said, "forty," "fifty," "fun" and "friendship."

"If you enjoy your journey, there's no failure," Jentis said. "There's always success from failure."
