Ed Sinclair's Loss 'A Significant' One, Fire Department Says
Sinclair, a longtime member of the Mahwah Fire Department, was found dead in his home Thursday, the victim of a heart attack.
The Mahwah Fire Department issued a statement on the death of Ed Sinclair Friday morning.
The statement was posted on the department’s Facebook page:
“Mahwah Fire Dept suffered a significant loss Thursday when Ed Sinclair, an ex-department chief and active member of the department passed away in his home. Ed was the Director of the DPW and has been a lifelong Mahwah resident. Our hearts are broken and we extend our sincere condolences to the Sinclair family and friends. The Mahwah Fire Department and township will not be the same.”

Sinclair, director of the township’s department of public works, was found dead in his home Thursday. He apparently died of a massive heart attack.
