'Embrace,' A Documentary About Body Image, Will Be Screened Locally Soon
Taryn Brumfitt interviewed hundreds of women from eight countries for the documentary, which took 2 years to make.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — "Embrace," a movie about feminine body image will be screened at the Bow Tie Warner Theater in a few weeks.
The film by Taryn Brumfitt started when she posted pictures of herself when she was working out and when she stopped. The posts went viral and Brumfitt started a "movement about body image." Thanks to a Kickstarter campaign, she raised enough money to make a documentary about why women hate their bodies.
“I made Embrace for women to feel empowered to make a change, to understand they can make a choice," Brumfitt told powhernetwork.com. "They can be at war with their body, or they can embrace it and experience all life has to offer."
