Flash Flooding Reported In Mahwah

MAHWAH, NJ — Flooding is reported on Speedwell Avenue at the train underpass. There are heavy delays in the area. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use an alternate route.

A flash flood warning is in effect in Bergen County "through the afternoon," the National Weather Service said. Smaller rivers, streams, and areas with poor drainage could flood.

Rain will be heavy at times this morning and potentially this afternoon when heavy downpours could blanket North Jersey.

One to two inches of rain is forecast to fall before tapering off this afternoon.
