Funeral Services Set For Mahwah Man Killed In NY Crash
A wake is scheduled Monday for Joseph R. Farina and a funeral will follow on Tuesday morning.
MAHWAH, NJ - Funeral services have been set for a 32-year-old Mahwah man killed in a car crash last week in New York.
Joseph R. Farina's wake is scheduled for Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey. A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church, 47 Island Road, Mahwah.
Farina leaves behind a wife, Jaclyn, and daughter, Sofiah. He's also survived by his mother, father, stepmother, five sisters and grandmother, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, according to his obituary. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted for his daughter's future.

Farina, an avid hunter and fisherman, worked as a master mechanic at Mavis in Mahwah.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash on Feb. 18 in Monroe, NY, according to authorities.
Around 7:20 a.m., New York State troopers were called to School Road after receiving a report of a two-car crash, police said.
Further investigation revealed that Patrick Early, a 67-year-old from Warwick, NY, was driving his 2013 Acura TL west on School Road when he collided with a 1996 Toyota Avalon operated by Farina.
Police said they are continuing to investigate and additional information was not immediately available Sunday.
