Mahwah Actors Earn Spots In Coveted Theatre Conservatory

Sam Chuck and Kristina Conzo will appear on stage at the Paper Mill Playhouse's production of 'Everyone Loves an Underdog.'

MAHWAH, NJ — Two township actors have been selected to appear in a prestigious summer musical conservatory.

Sam Chuck and Kristina Conzo will appear in the Paper Mill Playhouse's New Voices of 2017: "Everyone Loves An Underdog."

The musical is the culmination of the conservatory's five-week workshop program.

"From the first day of class all the way through opening night, we require our students to rise to the demands of this rigorous program," said Lisa Cooney, Paper Mill Playhouse director of education. "We ask them to work harder than they ever have before as young performers, and we strive to build an incredible ensemble company.

Students from Paper Mill Playhouse's conservatory have gone on to appear in several Broadway productions, films and television shows. Alumni include Academy Award-winner Anne Hathaway and Tony Award-winner Laura Benanti.
