Mahwah High School Opening Night Football Game Postponed
The postponement comes as scheduled opponent Ramsey High School closed for in-person learning after a positive coronavirus test.
MAHWAH, NJ — The Mahwah High School Thunderbirds will have to wait a little longer for kickoff, as Friday's opening night game against Ramsey has been postponed.
Athletic Director Roger Pelletier confirmed the postponement with Patch Friday, and said conversations have already started with Ramsey about rescheduling the game.
"It depends on the calendar," said Pelletier on if the two high schools would meet this year. He added, though, that the plan is to find a new date, if possible.
