Mahwah Hockey Mites Cap Season With Medal At Outdoor Classic
Mahwah Mites make up for relative lack of experience with energy, determination, and a coach who keeps it fun for the kids.
With Winter Classic excitement in the air, the Mahwah Mites captured Third Place at the Heritage Outdoor Classic in York, PA.
Reflecting on the tournament, Coach Tim Consolo said, "I am so proud of this team, which is made up of many 1st year skaters. They have come so far this season. We could not have done it with out Coach Ed and Coach Mike. Coach Ed runs a great practice as does Coach Mike. The kids
learned so much from them."
Recognizing the yeoman's work his wife and team manager, Kimberly, has done all season, Coach Consolo went on to say, "...most of all I want to thank my wife Kimberly. Without her none of this is possible. Without her I wouldn't be able to take the responsibility of leading the
way. She really was the most important piece of the puzzle all season. She managed every off ice aspect of the team with the skill of seasoned veteran hockey mom. I am eternally grateful for her commitment. I love you baby!"
