Mahwah Won't Institute Virtual Learning After Spring Break
District officials are "significantly concerned" about spring break travel, but they won't institute a virtual learning buffer.
MAHWAH, NJ — School district officials won't institute two weeks of virtual learning after spring break, but concerns persist.
"Please be advised that the district is significantly concerned about potential travel during spring break and recommend that travel only take place for matters that cannot otherwise be rescheduled. Any type of outbreak can result in the loss of in-person learning time," Interim Superintendent Leonard Fitts said.
The district has released a calendar for students and parents who plan to travel to states listed on New Jersey's travel advisory.

"We ask that our students, families, and staff continue to take all mitigating measures to remain safe during our upcoming spring break," Fitts wrote.
