Muriel Anderson Hosts Virtual Guitar Workshop With Mahwah Museum

MAHWAH, NJ — The Mahwah Museum will host a virtual guitar workshop with award-winning musician Muriel Anderson in September, the museum announced.

As part of the Les Paul Legacy Event Series, Anderson will host the workshop for musicians of all levels on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.

A former winner of the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship, Anderson hosts the Muriel Anderson All Star Guitar Night and founded the Music for Life Alliance charity.

The event is your chance to learn from someone who played next to the likes of Jimmy Page, Chet Atkins and Les Paul.

Enrollment is limited, the museum said. To register for the workshop — $35 per student — visit the Mahwah Museum website.

The event is supported by the Les Paul Foundation, and is one of a series of virtual programs to be offered by the Mahwah Museum.

According to a news release, the museum plans to open in September featuring a new exhibit on the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment, which guaranteed women the right to vote.

It will join permanent exhibits Les Paul in Mahwah, the Donald Cooper Model Railroad, and The Lee Vold Gallery, and rotating exhibits Palisades Amusement Park in Miniature, and A College Comes to Mahwah: Ramapo College 1965-1975.

Museum hours and opening date will be announced shortly, according to a news release.
