According to a website dedicated to the history of the mansion, Darlingtonmansion.com, the architect of the mansion was James Brite, who along with Henry Bacon created the original Madison Square Garden and the Lincoln Memorial.

Many of the original concepts and materials were preserved in a recent renovation of the property, which updated the home's mechanical systems and rebuilt each of the 19 full bathrooms, and seven half baths, according to the website.

Not only is the estate a lavish residence, but it's also listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the New Jersey Register of Historic Places.

The home is listed as the Crocker-McMillin Mansion for the first two owners of the home, Crocker, and Emerson McMillin, who lived on the property after Crocker's death in December 1909.

A traditional example of Jacobean architecture, the home also includes a litany mega mansion features including a movie theater, spa, indoor lap pool, wine cellar and more.
