BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Here is a recap of every player selected by the New York Giants and Jets during the 2019 NFL Draft.

Giants

First round:

No. 6: Daniel Jones, quarterback, Duke

It was long speculated that the Giants would take a quarterback as a possible heir-apparent to Eli Manning or a defensive player, but Jones' selection took everyone by surprise.

Giants fans and sports pundits questioned the pick, but general manager Dave Gettleman insisted two other teams were interested in Jones and that's why they grabbed him when they did, ESPN reported.
