NY Giants Player's Profane Tirade At TSA For Spilling Mom's Ashes

A.J. Francis alleges that agents from the Transportation Security Administration spilled a container of his cremated mother's ashes.

New York Giant A.J. Francis blasted the Transportation Security Administration Monday after TSA agents allegedly spilled his mother's cremated remains inside his luggage at an airport.

Francis posted on Twitter Monday a picture of the remains in his luggage along with a "notice of baggage inspection" from the administration and a profanity-laced tirade.

"Hey you pieces of s--- at @TSA next time you a--holes feel the need to go thru my mother’s ashes for no reason, make sure you close it back so her remains aren’t spilled on all my clothes... the least you pieces of garbage can do is your f------ job," Francis said in the Twitter post.

Francis said in a separate post that he was in Arkansas with family "celebrating my mom's life" and in California with friends when his mother unexpectedly died two weeks ago.

It is unclear exactly what airport the screening occurred, but on the same day Francis announced his mother's death, June 26, he also criticized the TSA after agents at Newark International Airport were allegedly disrespectful to him.

"My mother just passed away, and after I told your agents at Newark to hurry up checking my bag cuz they felt the need to swipe my iPad for chemicals (even tho I have pre-check) one of your female agents said 'your mother would be so proud' in a very disrespectful manner," Francis said on Twitter.

Francis did not respond to a request on Twitter for comment.

TSA responded to Francis on Twitter:

"We're very sorry to hear about this. We understand the emotional stress travelers are under when transporting the remains of a loved one. Our policies and procedures focus on ensuring that all passengers are treated with dignity, respect, and courtesy. Our officers are trained to handle your carry-on and checked property with care. Out of respect for the deceased, under no circumstances should the container be opened. Please accept our apologies and our condolences."

Francis, 28, signed with the Giants in May after playing two years with the Washington Redskins. He was a member of the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks before joining the Redskins. Francis also criticized the Redskins earlier this year for their "racist" logo, NJ.com reported.
