It’s hard to believe Memorial Day has come and gone so has the Fourth of July and as of this writing memories of the 2018 St Francis Carnival are all in the rearview window as we begin to prepare for the end of summer. I hope everyone has had a chance to step out of their routines for abit this season and do something different and relaxing

What a great ride this baseball season has been once again for the New York Yankees, following up on last year’s AL Championship 7 game struggle with a season long chase with the hated Deadsox of Boston for the AL East title. There have been many clutch and dramatic endings to Yankee games a nice way to keep everyone’s eyes off the Mets

The other day I was driving in the town of Franklin and apparently I must have driven through the town of Franklin as I began to see signs saying Welcome to Hardyston, although I hadn’t yet arrived at the location of the Franklin business. Go Figure. Anyway as I was driving up Route 23 in Franklin I relived the day my cousin Steve Platt hit a homerun for Lakeland against Franklin High School that cleared the football press box and landed somewhere near where my car was on the highway below. Wow has soooo much happened since then.

Fake things and fake news has been on the lips of a lot of people lately and I can say unabashedly that Carfax watches CNN News. It came to light recently that the car information provider does not always necessarily provide true information, Last week someone was embarrassed because just as they were about to work out a deal for a car they wanted to trade in, the owner was presented with a Car Fax report that listed erroneous and troubling information. The car dealer involved immediately rescinded the offer and ended all negotiation, it was inferred the owner new about this “problem” and attempted to trade the vehicle anyway. Subsequently the owner has reached out to Carfax with no success or way to speak with anyone, anywhere. No doubt Carfax has a favorite news channel, “THIS is CNN”!

What’s this new fad called “destination weddings”? the Bride and Groom decided to get married on some resort island and those that wish to attend have to fly stay and eat on their own? Maybe I am a stick in the mud but maybe we should put more effort into making a wedding last more than 5 minutes rather than imposing on others. Ya think?

Say it aint so Joe Beningo. One of my favorite hosts of WFAN and former neighbor has been accused of some not so nice things with some females at his place of employment. I just hope it aint so and hope that Joe has the accusations addressed. It’s kind of hard to address accusations in reality I mean I haven’t heard anyone take their accusations back that were not true have you?

I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Boz Scaggs cd I will let you know what it’s like shortly. Some 40 years later repeats of All in the Family are the best shows on TV
