Trump Endorses Frank Pallotta In NJ 5th District Race
Pallotta, who also received an endorsement from NYC Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, is challenging incumbent Congressman Josh Gottheimer.
MAHWAH, NJ — Congressional hopeful Frank Pallotta has received an endorsement from President Donald Trump.
Trump tweeted his support of Pallotta on Halloween.
"[Pallotta] will be a great Congressman for the terrific people of New Jersey! He is Strong on the Economy & Jobs, Low Taxes, the Military, our Brave Law Enforcement, and your Second Amendment. Frank has my Complete and Total Endorsement!" he wrote.

Pallotta responded to the President on Twitter.

Pallotta also received an endorsement from New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik over the weekend.

Despite these recent endorsements, the contest isn’t projected to be all that close.
The district is listed as “solid Democrat” by The Cook Political Report, and Gottheimer is heavily favored in FiveThiryEight’s forecast, where he is projected to win 97 out of 100 times, per their simulations.
