3-Day Search After 2 Struck In Hit-And-Run In Belmar: Cops
A three-day search was underway since the vehicle fled, police said.

A search extended to a third day after two people were struck in a hit-and-run crash at the Jersey Shore, police said.
A man and woman, both unidentified, were hospitalized at Jersey Shore University Medical Center after the Saturday accident, police said.
The crash happened when the Belmar Police Department received a 911 call on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving pedestrians, police said. They were struck at 1:28 a.m.

The vehicle, a silver colored Cadillac Escalade, fled the scene heading north on E Street in the area of 15th Avenue, police said.
Patrols arrived on scene and found the adult female victim and the adult male victim with injuries sustained by the vehicle. Both victims were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, police said.

The Belmar Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Serious Collision Analysis Response Team responded and they're assisting with this ongoing investigation.
